Buying and Selling at a Bramber Brooks Auction

BUYING

When considering buying and bidding upon any of our vehicle or marine lots, it is important that you undertake all relevant checks before you make a bid, as no warranties or guarantees are implied or given with any vehicle or marine auction sale, unless specifically promoted and written to the contrary.

All our auction lots are specifically 'sold as seen' so please ensure that you have all yout required information to hand and have preferably viewed the lot prior to making a bid.

Once you have made a bid and the hammer has dropped upon the sale, you are contractually obligated to complete the purchase and pay all costs associated with the sale. Please therefore read carefully below what these associated costs are and what the gross sale cost will be. Please do not bid if you do not accept these costs.

BIDDING

Registration:

To bid upon any lots within a Bramber Brooks auction, you are required to first register your intention to bid and to provide us with your necessary information.

This applies to all of our auctions, whether you are bidding online, by telephone, commission bidding or attending in person.

Our 'Buyers Registration' can be found by clicking this link. Upon receipt of this, we will then contact you by telephone to collect your relevant payment details. (Please note that without all requested details being made available, you will not be allowed to bid)

We are only able to accept payment through debit cards and bank accounts domiciled within the UK, unless specific prior agreement has been granted in writing.

Winning Bidder Fees.

All winning bidders are required to pay the following fees: -

Hammer Price

Less that £1,000.00: Inclusive fee = 12%

1,000 to £20,000: Inclusive fee = 8%

£20,000 plus Inclusive fee = 4%

(Example: Hammer price winning bid of £30,000 = £1000@12% + £19,000@8% + £10,000@4%)

Automobilia etc: Inclusive fee = 10%

SELLING

If you are considering the sale of your Custom or Classic vehicle or boat then we would be delighted to hear from you.

In the first instance, either complete our sales form (click here) or alternatively you may contact us by email to provide your details and sale item information and photographs. We will then telephone you to discuss in greater detail and to agree a reasonable and acceptable valuation.

Alternatively, we're always happy to receive your telephone call to discuss your requirement!

Obviously, whilst photographs are an excellent start, there is nothing like viewing the item in the flesh, therefore, whenever realistically possible, we like to see the item being sold in person. However, we understand this is not always viable.

Remember that to gain maximum exposure for your sale, we need time to promote effectively, so please let us have your consignment as early as possible prior to the next auction date.
